Command + Space, but better. this is THE keyboard shortcut to have for a touchtyper it finds and inventories your shit so well, especially as Mac's spotlight becomes more and more ass


Obsidian

Just absolutely king. The best way, and how I wish I knew to set up obsidian is detailed in Zettlekasten And Obsidian, where i use the Zettlekasten technique to organize my Obsidian notes. Some examples for blogs I've used as inspiration are Blogs.

Also you can use git as version control and connect to your phone using the git app on the computer. DO not use git app on mobile because it is absolutely fucking broken. The way I set it up is as follows:

AppCleaner

Every time you delete an app, this is such a nice space saver, it clears out all associate files, like a wonderful garbage collector. I wish Mac shipped with this originally


And when it has trouble it tells you that it cant delete. and you can use the spotlight to delete it after you've moved an app to the trash. It really does shine when you need to

You need to have a way to customize your browser. so chromium or firefox is THE way to go. Any other way will just make your computer not even fun to use I swear to god.

There are some really good chrome extensions to get! Feel free to check the ones I got there! or maybe even My Chrome Extensions. I think having chrome extensions make or break your browser. I have some essentials for my computer.

qbittorrent

I've gone through a lot of different torrent clients throught my years, I remember the days my brother taught me about utorrent, then bittorrent, then any number of ones that just kept getting hijacked and filled with random shit. But throughout my quest of Piracy, I have fallen in love with the well maintained, and reliable qBittorrent. So thats where I'm at.

Feed Claude Your Notes

FEED CLAUDE YOUR NOTES. ESpecially if you started taking your notes in a Zettelkasten style, ESPECIALLY if your notes are in Markdown on Obsidian PLEASE FUCKING DO IT.

Or just a cherrypicked subset of your notes. This is going to be absolutely gamechanger for the way that you'll be able to interact with your notes and name processes that you never before had named. This will be insane for the way that you will come up with new words and analogies that are hard-hitting and essential

I haven't started using this, but I got a recommendation from my mentor Jacob, and he has not ever really been wrong when it comes to anything like this. so I guess I might as well try it out. Apparently it just is kickass and fits into your thought process so well.
