SWORM

or the Schema vieW Of the Reality Manifold check out what I wrote in Sworm!

[!music] Song that goes well with this article: Link

WOW. I love this! I love how important this feels to me. or at least how it draws the way I view the world. I stretch the analogies to figure out how strange they are and how well they fit. Like when you stretch the dough for lamination when making biscuits, you will want to cover everything but not too much where you lose the strength of the dough itself.

Thanks for sticking with me through my Baking metaphors, I absolutely love those.

Now now. Let us begin.

You are familiar with the concept of Schema I take it?

Beautiful, and my thoughts about Manifold?

What a couple of silly little prerequisites those are. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ THEM AT ALL... If you decide not to, feel free to keep reading because it doesn't really matter, you're smart, you'll figure it out.

What is a SWORM!

Put simply:

it is the way a we/a thing constructs a view of this insanity that we all go through

What a simple definition!

in some more defined terms:

It is how an object is affected by the reality Manifold and how it interprets it through its Schema/model

This is good, life is simple we are simple, this definition is simple.

We add these dimensions to make things more simple and simultaneously we are making them more complex than they might have to be!

however, by adding complexity we are regressing to something that can model the world more closely, hopefully providing an even more simple and a better model?

We try to strike the balance between complexity and effectiveness... but not always! see Schema

Where did these thoughts come from?

I was heavily inspired by Siddartha by Hermann Hesse and so much more just going through life! Maybe some thoughts from Everything Everywhere all at Once, oh there are so many so many sources that contributed to what I know now in writing, and oh I will find out more eventually! maybe even abandon this idea! who knows.

I won't go in depth at all on how they have influenced my thinking, because I think you will love it if you derive even your own inferences from it as well. if you want to.

You can completely throw away my theories if I bring up all my influences from scientific notions and influences from religious ideas, or even spiritual ideas. I butcher them all, but I find deep use in them, since at the end of the day...

All our knowledge is seeking that deeper truth that can't be contained by one and can't be explained by another. So fuck it, jump jump jump around!

Caution! another prereq! Gabriel's Horn

However, and do NOT misunderstand me. this does not mean that there is a single source of truth: the reality manifold. There IS NO TRUTH, at least that we could visualize. see Gabriel's Horn. The closest thing you could possibly believe is truth is the visualizing that x axis. which in and of itself is also not real lmao/exists in such high dimensionality that it's honestly moot if it is real.

models are fun to build! they really are. and they're especially fun to build collaboratively. Isn't it fun to accomplish big amazing things with the help of everyone else's experiences...

Let's build

Now what does SWORM mean now that we have the definition, which, if you wanted to could be the final part of the article and you wouldn't actually even need to read the rest? If you want, close the computer, see how the world looks through your base understanding of this idea and apply it to everything else you know! I am curious! DM me it's flaws, talk to me on twitter. I would love to. But for the rest who are interested in some other thoughts I have,

[!caution] NONE OF THIS IS COMPLETE. DUh. its all my own SWORM, treat none of this as true, but valid for me! and my view of the world. as of now.

Who has a SWORM:

All of these material things that we can see, and potentially the things we can't see. If you are a materialist, you can definitely observe the SWORMs engraved deep in the organic or even sillicon matter that is found all throughout the world's matter that we encounter. If you are some spiritualist, you could see it in anything that has a soul, or even in the chi, the environmental energy that runs through all of us and how it is affected and affects the world. It's there! it's absolutely there. In Guy's recent post you can see it in karma! you can see how there is that truth that exists in all the energy and the way it is affected by the world and how it affects the world in turn.

This doesn't mean that it must happen, or that it must be visible and meaningful, but there is a truth in the view of the reality manifold that is plenty high dimensional and reduced by various dimensions depending on the observing schema. There is meaning hidden, though it is not complete, of course, since any hidden meaning, or meaning of any system, informal and formal, are reduced in dimensionality than the Reality Manifold.

Strange... so what are we?

This is a weird thought to have because I'm saying and heavily suggesting that we level ourselves with each blade of grass, that feels the wind through it's hair, and even larger, each community of grass that forms the stationary- ish lawn, (ignoring the whole fact that its on a rock moving through space! depending on the observer) and equally we are both each gene and the collection of genes and those have their own SWORMs that will outlast us, just as those chromatids will too outlast us, and their information or the material that will outlast us and be swallowed up by the earth.

We are level with them! WE ARE! and we are what we eat, we are what we think, we are borrowing everything from the world from these parts.

Where do we begin where do we end?

I don't know. Up to you.

Why is this fun to think about.

Because it puts a word to the concept to the idea. Because I think understanding this has opened so many doors to explore all the things I want to explore! oh how wonderful this life is.

Other fun things to pull from

There was a passage from the bible that was very interesting to me:

[!quote] But now they are all different parts, but one body. And the eye may not say to the hand, I have no need of you: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. No, those parts which seem to be feeble are the more necessary; And to those parts of the body which seem to have less honour we give all the more honour; and to those parts of the body which are a cause of shame to us we give the greater respect; But those parts of the body which are beautiful have no need of such care: and so the body has been joined together by God in such a way as to give more honour to those parts which had need of it;

So that there might be no division in the body; but all the parts might have the same care for one another. And if there is pain in one part of the body, all the parts will be feeling it; or if one part is honoured, all the parts will be glad. Now you are the body of Christ, and every one of you the separate parts of it. 1 Corinthians 12:2, 13 – 27 BBE

I'm not religious at all really, but
